MISS SAMANTHA BARKS!!

I'm Jenny, also known as Barkateer Jenny, and I am one of Sam's biggest fans. On this site I will keep you up to date with everything Sam is doing, so keep checking back for more exciting news and pictures.

Sam first came into the public eye when she appeared on BBC1 reality talent show 'I'd Do Anything' in 2008, in which she finished in a very respectable 3rd place. The show finished on 31st May 2008 and she then toured the UK as Sally Bowles in Bill Kenwright's 'Cabaret' from 29th Aug 08 to 11th July 09. She did over 315 shows and without missing a single one! (wow!) Sam then went on to star as 'Aladdin' in 'the most magical panto ever' at the Theatre Royal in Windsor from 9th Dec 09 until 10th Jan 2010.

Recently, Sam has been co-writing and recording some new songs. One song has been released online to listen for free, although it is not available to download or buy yet. We're hoping this will change soon and that new songs will be added. Click below to listen to 'I Hate Playing Games'.

Sam is currently playing Eponine in 'Les Miserables' at the Queen's Theatre in London's West End!! She started on the 21st June 2010 and has got a year contract with the show. Her only holiday dates we know of so far are 15th - 28th Aug 2010 due to filming commitments for 'Groove High' (explained below). These dates are due to change as she has just been given some more but we don't know them as of yet. I will update this site with them as soon as I know so keep checking back for more information.

She has just been chosen to play Eponine at the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables at the O2 on 3rd October 2010!!!! There are two concerts as the evening one sold out so fast. The concert will be recorded and put on DVD and CD.


Sam has also just announced that she will be starring in a new Disney TV series called 'Groove High'. It's an animated series with live action. It will be about a group of talented kids living and learning together in an elite school for the performing arts. Sam will be playing lead female role, Zoe, who is in a rock band along with friend Tom. They start looking back on their high school years with fond memories. Voice recording was done in Ireland in April/May 2010 and filming is due to begin on 15th August until 28th. This is due to change as Sam has just been given more dates which I will put on this site once I know.
